CommSOFT was established specifically to develop technology applications to help organisations communicate better with their customers, especially where such communication is currently difficult, expensive or involves secondary human interaction (such as telephone interpretation).

Combining a deep understanding of both technology and the language services market CommSOFT combined these areas of expertise to develop Language Assistant which bridges the gap between people who need to communicate but who do not speak a common language - which is an increasingly common scenario given the movement of individuals and communities both in Europe and globally.

Michael Bursill

Michael's career has encompassed electronic engineering, project management, inter-organisational development and business change management in several sectors: power generation, broadcasting, manufacturing and the travel industry. He has lived in the UK and USA while developing strong multi-cultural working relationships at home and internationally, contributing to the business programmes of many of the world's leading companies and numerous fast-growing new technology start-ups. Michael is a graduate of Warwick University; he holds an MBA, is a Chartered Marketer, a PRINCE2 practitioner and a fellow of the RSA.

Wayne Miller

Wayne's marketing and consultancy career has spanned both the customer and vendor sides of software technology from senior marketing and commercial positions within the travel sector to his current role providing intellectual capital for clients of NCR's customer experience management solutions and Teradata's data warehousing and BI solutions for the travel and transportation sector - where multi-lingual capability is a 'must' rather than an option. Wayne studied economics at the University of Toronto and is a member of IDM and HTNG.

Neil Coulson

Neil is CommSOFT's CEO and founder. Neil was originally an academic who transitioned to the commercial software industry as manager of the Bristol Transputer Center at the University of the West of England. This led to 7 years with Meiko Ltd, a UK technology start-up (acquired by Finmeccanica SpA) which, in turn, led to around 5 years with NCR/Teradata's EMEA business intelligence consultancy arm. Neil stayed in consulting for the next 6 years as CEO of Quarter3 Ltd. and has recently provided technology consulting services to a leading global software vendor in the travel industry prior to setting up CommSOFT. Neil holds an honours degree in Computing Science.
